Ugyanis a leg\u00fajabb eredm\u00e9nyek szerint a tudatelm\u00e9leti k\u00e9pess\u00e9gnek k\u00fcl\u00f6n kognit\u00edv, valamint affekt\u00edv alkomponense is l\u00e9tezik, az ut\u00f3bbi pedig l\u00e9nyeg\u00e9ben az \u00e9rzelmek meg\u00e9rt\u00e9s\u00e9t foglalja mag\u00e1ba. A literature review<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Children\u2019s understanding of emotions is crucial in establishment and maintenance and of their relationships. Deficits in this area can even predict various externalizing and emotion regulation problems (e.g. Cook, Greenberg \u00e9s Kusch\u00e9, 1994). Although the relevance of the topic has been recognized and researched, most of the applied measurements required children to label feelings based on facial expressions or situations (e.g. Dunn \u00e9s Cutting, 2001). These tests only measure the recognition of basic emotions, while they ignore the socially more important secondary emotions. Moreover, research in recent years has shown that it would be advisable to think about the understanding of emotions in accordance with theory of mind, both in basic and in applied research. According to the newest findings, theory of mind has two distinct sub-components: the cognitive and the affective, and the latter includes the understanding of emotions (e.g. Shamay-Tsoory \u00e9s Aharon-Peretz, 2007). This review aims to present an overview of the current literature regarding the abilities of emotion understanding, its developmental processes, and measuring possibilities, with particular attention to the secondary emotions.
